Winemaker Seeks Rooftop Vineyard in City

Rooftop Reds, a startup commercial vineyard, hopes to gain approval from the Public Design Commission of New York City to install its vineyard on a roof in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The rooftop vineyard aims to take advantage of the maritime climate's air flow and wind to work as a fungal disease deterrent. The company hopes to expand to other rooftops in the area.
